Are you asking about iOS updates, or are you asking about app updates?
iOS updates come roughly every 6-8 weeks, but that can sometimes vary a bit. For example, the previous update was iOS 17.5.1 on May 20. The most recent update was iOS 17.6 on July 29......more than 2 months later.
I see 4 or 5 app updates almost daily. Developers are trying to get ahead of the next iOS update. If you have a lot of apps, you are always going to get a lot of app updates.
Do you mean app updates? Probably largely app developers getting things ramped up for the release of ios 18 this fall.
I’ve not noticed an unusual volume of iOS updates.
I have noticed seemingly a lot of 3rd Party App updates. (maybe those developers are preparing for iOS “next” ?)
That said, most probably wouldn’t consider any iOS update particularly laborious.
Yes, I have the same question! There has been about five or six (I’ve lost count) in the last few months. And every time an update is installed it defaults all my privacy settings to allow information sharing and tracking, etc. it feels intentional at this point like there’s more to it than fixing “bugs” in their software.
