macbook pro mid 2012 a1278 battery life draining with old and new battery

I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro mid 2012 a1278 9,2 with an SSD and RAM. The system runs on Catalina which I just installed (It's on a new clean install with formatted SSD). I only connected to my iCloud, turned off the iCloud photos because my laptop became occupied with VTDecoderXPCSservice, com.apple.photos.ImageConverionSerive and became really hot (even after cleaning fins, fans and new XM5 thermal paste). I also installed TG pro and Macs Fan Control (Macs fan control I deleted since I read bad reviews).

The battery that was inside the laptop was an older battery with 1100 cycles. The battery drained pretty quick (guessing 2/3 hours or less). I swapped the battery for a brand new 3rd party battery with good reviews from TP ( battery model PAAPPLEA 1322). Unfortunately the new battery drains approximately at the same rate (2/3 hours or less).

If anybody could help me figure out what is going on or what to do, I would be grateful :).
