It's impossible to answer the question without a lot more detail.

Which MacBook Air and which MacBook Pro?

What processor type (and for Intel CPUs, processor speed)?

How much RAM and how much internal SSD space?

What do you intend to use the laptop for?

Background

Apple released several Intel-based laptops in early 2020:

  • MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)

Apple released two Apple-Silicon-based laptops in late 2020:

  • MacBook Air (M1, 2020) – this replaced the MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)
  • MacBook Pro (M1, 2020) – this replaced the MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)

The MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) wouldn't be replaced until 14" MacBook Pros using M1 Pro and M1 Max chips came along in late 2021.
