Safari: Block all cookies, No way to whitelist to allow or un break certain sites? Delete on browser close

Safari Privacy settings has given us the Block all cookies option for years.

But NOT a way to UNBLOCK some domains, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, parties. Whitelist to allow / un break certain sites.

Why? Is this by design? To convey implicit message to the end user: "You need cookies." (maybe 1% of all the clutter yes) or it breaks the internet...(It will if you block everything / disable wifi sure)

I had this enabled and couldn't even log in to Apple Community. (Which is GREAT)

But omitting fairly common ways to use this. (Allow cookies for this site, Always, Session)

I find this peculiar for a privacy conscious browser.

I stopped using Safari after uBlock Origin was no longer available.

But needed to use Airplay

I gave Safari a try. First using AdGuard multi extension workaround to use block lists

Then added xxxxDNS with All the blocking

To much surprise even after blocking a lot on the custom DNS level

The old no 3rd party cookies

I do not want to clean browser data for stuff manually IF I could be blocking in the first place.

If some individual cookies can't be blocked [unless ALL is not fixed lol]

Please provide basic auto cleanup on browser close functionality: Such as

'Forget me when I close this site'

Delete cookies and site data when [Safari] is closed

Did I mis how to unblock/allow specific sites visiting such as this Community?

Probably overlooking something...Or maybe this deserves some attention.

The most aggressive, still non site breaking option is Safari is to enable "no 3rd party cookies"

With this enabled Even when Blocking.a lot on the DNS level will quickly fill up the place you find in

Settings/Privacy/ Click Manage Website Data.

Within days I see all sorts of 3rd party, cdn, various google, a bunch 3rd party..!?

The only option left if you are annoyed by the prospect of manually cleaning this ad nauseam?

'block all cookies' which with no way to unblock specifics, for a domain or anywhere. breaks most sites.

idk but only found a tiny dis*crep*ancy which was removed. After enabling "The old no 3rd party cookies" There still was a lot of "stuff" accumulating in this place described here, with a lot of the usual suspects, domains I personally prefer to block.

Reason for my post is not to vent my personal views or feeling, but do not understand this wide gap between;

You say NO 3rd party, yet some slip through the cracks.. you will need to remove them as they keep reappearing...

And the next and only Privacy setting that is offered which is more and also most aggressive "Block all cookies"

It to me seems it lacks the things that could make it useful If you still want to browse the internet.

Perhaps this attempt using fictive allegory woulda coulda might be's

Imagine some or many do start to think non inDifferent

If like a NOT interested in XYZ types of post sticker on your Mailbox of your brick and mortar home Could be just as simple and effective and take a minute to apply

Could be the same online I SAID NO ONCE save it in the cloud for ad marketing firms they should consider me of the grid, until I [remove sticker] change this status to allow what is within my defined interests [never to bother me anywhere else but the place I go to browse products, even watch ads..

YES indeed YES I will watch the [user customizable] ADS NETWORK, /Channel, stream, or eBook to read my adds if and when it suits me the customer [aka King right?]

A different few examples of how you could not abuse people, but offer true customer service..

There is a huge demand here; target audience=

Anyone who is very much not interested in messages from vendors and services they say they are not interested in, A consumers way to say don't contact or call us I'll find you...

Wouldn't that be equally worth a penny and a relief for many?

A perpetual race tor attention goes only targeted and part time? What at first appears to the advertiser as the end of business [as we knew, not loved it]

Can be channelled into a personalized or user selected platform of choice that gets people who actually want to buy things to tune in to the ads channel...

They love the removal of sponsor breaks or other distractions, made possibly by them looking at ads when they need them instead of being annoyed by forced ads, and the phishing etc that blends in with all that noise...

You could truly make ads a product in itself

A Premium service to never annoy, disturb, interrupt. But ready when you are for an entertaining info stream...

[[[yada yada!, info break: One time offer:

I can keep spewing my usual deluge of new ideas or what can we do differently, better while not disrupting business etc this little wall is non curated raw and gratis

[it's the quantity wining over punctuation, writing down everything is for one often impossible as some ideas and concepts tend to evolve like sculptures that move into new locations concepts turned inside out or upside down reversed or inverse whatever is my method of discovery that suits the topic.

It can and will be hectic, but hire a stenographer/editor to separate the gold from the residual byproduct of my decompression while sculpting in the abstract or a bit like what I do right this moment after a loong day and going to hit update one last time...] refining the concepts love it presenting it or writing = not my job either]

, but pay me to what come easy to me.. You have my id I can do this all day if I feel like it, minimum $500/hr makes me feel like doing this more seriously. take it or leave me alone ;]end interruption..

we hope ad made sense to someone who can pick potential from the usual noise. We value your time, any reciprocality lowballing their valuation of our time can go cold call some random for better success rates guaranteed. Cheerio!

...Customer tailored to IOT stuff like refrigerators or whatever do think a bit different, we could use a bit of innovation. even this simple topic is imho more serving the public than another race to achieve AI superiority. But what would I know, by default disabling SIRI on each newly installed app on my phone i prefer in do not disturb [friends in allow list ring twice. LOVE THAT]
