How do I get Apple to provide me the Apple Watch band that was clearly missing ?

You should discuss the issue with the store manager on duty when you return the Watch if it’s within the 14 day return period. If it’s outside the return period, just talk to the manager.

Calling an Apple Store is not as easy as it sounds. You need the direct number to the store, or it does't ring in the managers office. Direct numbers aren’t published as a rule, otherwise everyone would be calling stores and it would need to double the staff to accommodate the incoming calls.

It’s not an issue for a manager to give you a strap, just explain the situation and your frustration/disappointment. I’m a former Apple Store Manager. This is an easy peasy fix. 😀

No, they are packaged inside a sleeve. The sleeve has paper clasps and the outer sleeve unwraps reveling two boxed items. Here’s a YouTube of an unboxing.

That “old” movie certainly highlights how far Apple has progressed with their “Packaging Reduction” efforts.

We ourselves received a new iPhone SE Gen3 a couple of weeks ago and it’s packaging — while still VERY “Apple” — was indeed minimal.

I think it was Series 5 when they switched packaging. Here’s an early unboxing. The Hermes used to come with two bands, don’t know if they still do.

You should simply execute the 14-day return for refund policy and get a full refund on everything …

… and then start over.
