Why don't I receive messages on my iPhone when it's off?

So many important messages have been dispatched for me, but if they get sent during the turn off of my iphone, I don’t receive those messages after turning on. I have missed so many important messages from banks because of that. I have even tested my iphones by keeping them turned off and sending messages to those iphones and then turning on, alas I never receive those messages. I have also kept ‘ send as sms’ on. If our loved one send us messages and we don’t see that because of iphone problems, think of it, how much problem it can create. I really regret to have iphones.

You’ll have to discuss this with your carrier — as SMS (green bubble) messages are a carrier provided feature.

What you’re looking for is an “SMS” Store and Forward capability.

i.e. The carrier “stores” your incoming SMS messages when your phone is offline …

… and delivers them once you become “available.”

It's unusual for a carrier not to store and forward for at least a couple of days. How long are you leaving your phone off for? Is there a reason you're turning it off rather than putting it on Do Not Disturb?
