Why is my device not connecting to IPv6 DNS?

So there’s this instruction thing on the website to connect to IPv4 but they also include IPv6! I am trying to connect to the iPv6 DNS and for a reason it says that it isn’t connected!

Cloudflare yeah, But I’m not sure routable is, I’ve set up an IPv6 DNS on my router but what about my device? Any thoughts?

Some local network checks maybe, like functional local IPv4 and IPv6 routing (ping6, traceroute), whether the unspecified router is actually offering IPv6 and DNS or is “merely” relaying as many do, whether ODoH is enabled or not on the clients, etc.?

Help

Hello and welcome!

Please use the Ask the Community link at the top, and post your own question thread.

Please include some details and background about your question, and information on hardware and software and apps involved. What steps you’ve already tried to fix the problem, and what happened when you tried it, for instance. (“Help” just isn’t enough detail to build an answer around.)

The status for cloudflare says that you are not connected to IPv6 addresses, but how can ipv4 solve for IPv6

IPv4 DNS can serve IPv6 DNS translations. These are AAAA records. (CloudFlare also provides DNS64 for IPv6-only networks.)

DNS is also not particularly relevant to establishing IPv6 routing.

Your local network routing, or your firewall, and/or your ISP are not enabled for or do not support IPv6 routing.

If your networking equipment or ISP cannot be enabled for IPv6, and if using an existing IPv4 route is inappropriate, you will have to use a tunnel to get IPv6 routing.

One IPv6 tunnel option: https://ipv6.he.net/

You can become globally routable with IPv6 with no IPv4 NAT box implicitly blocking unrecognized traffic, so some care around establishing and maintaining connection security is warranted.
