Can’t enter Apple ID verification code

Issues for enter the authentication code on a Mac mini. The issue is present when I have to enter the code sended to my iPhone in the prompt displayed on Mac mini. I started to key the first two digits and the prompt closes making impossible to conclude de process and authentication.
