The voice that reads the text in Pages is terrible and not the one selected in Acessibility/Spoken Content. I tried by closing the app, restarting Mac… nothing. Also tried to deselect all the alternatives voices in Spoken content… nothing 😫 Where does this awful voice come from and how to stop it???!!!

It would appear that in macOS 12.7.5, even after you change the System Voice in System Preferences > Accessibility > Spoken Content panel, it clings to the previous voice (in my case Alex) and even quitting Pages or a reboot does not affect changing the voice. This is not a Pages v13.1 problem as it also occurs in TextEdit.
The only fix would be if macOS 12.7.6 (currently release candidate) fixes this System Preferences error and 12.7.6 should be released next week.
