How do I recalibrate my Apple Watch to count accurate calorie count?

Had anyone noticed the calorie count is lower when it comes to walks and workouts? I did a 45 min walk, a little over 2 miles in that time. Stopped my walk and it said I only burned 100 calories. I looked at the fitness app and noticed the spread change. I wonder if they messed something up with the sensors.

Are you doing your walks using the Outdoor Walk workout? If not, you’re just getting the lower resting calorie. Also make sure your height, weight, sex etc. are entered correctly in the Health app. The information you enter is what apple uses when calculating your calorie burn rate. You also need to enter any medication that lowers or suppress your heart rate as this will affect your calorie burn rate.

Calorie counting is automatic based on your constant HR Zone and Effort. With all of your Health Data plugged in, it will auto calibrate your HR Zone.

  • View your HR Zone under Apple iPhone, Watch, Workout, Heart Rate
  • The POLAR based HR will tell you how much your HR has to be for an Effort.
  • You can customize your Workout View by going to Workout (Watch), ... MORE, Preferences, Workout Views, and enable HR Zone, plus reorder if you want HR Zone to be the first view.
