iMac crashed, won't boot up.

My iMac crashed the other day, showing black and purple thin lines and making a short glitchy sound over and over. I powered it off, then back on, and when it turned on, there were thick green lines on the screen, and it won't boot up past Apple's logo. Wondering if this is the end for it. Tried safe mode, recovery mode, unplugging, etc.

Help: iMac Pro 2017 won't boot Hello everyone, Out of the blue, my 2017 iMac Pro stopped booting. The Apple logo appears, it progresses to about 50% (within a minute), and then it just stops without any further action. When I try to boot in Safe Mode (by holding Shift), nothing changes. iMac crashing and restarting issues Can somebody tell me why my iMac will suddenly restart and then when booting the status bar gets stuck and will then have to restart sometimes 2-3 times before it finally gets to the Home Screen and shows this in the error report.

iMac shutdown, Apple logo came on and the status bar only went about halfway. I hadn’t used my desktop in a week or so. When I sat down I was surprised to find that it was shutdown, though I wasn’t sure if I had done so. I started as usual, got the chime, but the Apple logo came on and the status bar only went about halfway. I tried a few more times without success. I tried to use internet recovery. Mac HD did not appear in disk utility nor under the option to reinstall OS. Guessing from what I’ve read the hard drive may be dead? Not sure what Apple charges to replace a hard drive in an older Mac to make it worth doing? What about data recovery on the hard drive? I’ve remained relatively calm so far, so that is a positive. Call and schedule a service appointment at you local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
