When I go to print a packet of say 2-3 pages. The screen shows all pages but when printing, the first page disappears on screen and never prints. I'm thinking it's a setting of some sort on this computer but can't find the correct options. Please advise!

welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.
Wondering which app you are using when you do not get that first page to print.
Many apps have print options that appear when you select File > Print
So it is up to us to select all or any of the pages we want to print.
Eg ... this one in Preview app:
You can often select all pages, or a single page (eg: page 2 to Page 2) or a selection of pages (page 1 to page 6)
