What webcams are supported by Sonoma 14.5?

What (if any) webcams are supported for Sonoma 14.5? I've searched without luck for any sort of list with no luck.

MacOS Sonoma (version 14.5) supports a variety of webcams, due to its compatibility with the USB Video Class (UVC) standard. This means that most modern USB webcams that adhere to this standard should work seamlessly without needing additional drivers.

Here are some choices that should work:

  • Logitech C920/C922
  • Logitech Brio
  • Razer Kiyo
  • Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000
  • Anker PowerConf C300
  • Aukey PC-LM1E

I know the Brio doesn’t work, at least the 500, since that’s what I’m replacing and I’ve been weeding through forums of other users saying the same thing. Unless there’s a different model?

There are a number of Logitech Brio models. Ref: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/business/webcams.html

FWIW, I have an old Logitech webcam (2012 era) that works perfectly with my Macs running macOS Sonoma.
