What webcams are supported by Sonoma 14.5?

MacOS Sonoma (version 14.5) supports a variety of webcams, due to its compatibility with the USB Video Class (UVC) standard. This means that most modern USB webcams that adhere to this standard should work seamlessly without needing additional drivers.

Here are some choices that should work:

• Logitech Brio
• Razer Kiyo
• Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000
• Anker PowerConf C300
• Aukey PC-LM1E

Sony Alpha 6400 works fine on my Mac.

FWIW, I have an old Logitech webcam (2012 era) that works perfectly with my Macs running macOS Sonoma.

It would be better if you found a camera that meets your needs then check the manufacturer's site for system compatibility. We do not know your specific camera requirements other than sonoma compatibility.

I bought a huge curved Dell monitor (with USB-C) for my home office setup. It worked out of the box. Bought a Logitech c925e to mount on the monitor- it was not noticed at all by my MacBook Pro 2019 running Sonoma 14.5, whether plugged into monitor or to Mac directly (using a USB A to C adapter). Now I don't know what Webcam to turn to. help!
