2 screen set up for Air M3

I cannot work out how to connect two screens for my MacBook Air M3 through the bonelk 12in1 hub. I only seem to be able to get a mirror. Any ideas what i am doing wrong? thanks

The bonelk 12in1 is a USB-C dock and on a Mac CANNOT support more than a single monitor.

On a Mac the USB-C cable will only receive a single set of DisplayPort signals.

It may be possible to install DisplayLink software, IF AND ONLY IF the bonelk 12in1 dock includes DisplayLink hardware support, otherwise you will need a second monitor adapter that plugs into the other USB-C port on your Macbook Air.

Per the tech specs, here is the display support for MacBook Air M3:

  • Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at 1 billion colors and:
  • One external display with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz
  • Close the MacBook Air lid to use a second external display with up to 5K resolution at 60Hz

If the hub is not working, try cabling directly, and then check with the hub vendor support for assistance with that device.

To connect two monitors to one host port, on a Mac that supports multiple external monitors, the device that is immediately attached to the Mac has to be a genuine Thunderbolt device like a Thunderbolt dock or hub.

A Thunderbolt connection to a Thunderbolt dock has more data pathways than a USB-C connection.

Your hub sounds like a generic USB-C hub that does not use Thunderbolt.
