Nike Run Club app & Fitness app awards

My Apple Watch logs runs through the NRC app to the Fitness app. However, it does not register the activity in the awards section. For example, I ran a 10k but it did not appear as an award. It only does so if I manually enter the run into the Health app. It also has not recorded the number of runs for 5k, 10k etc. since I started using the Nike app. I’ve checked the privacy settings under the Health app and NRC app has full read and writer permissions. Anyone know a fix or have a similar issue?
