Can’t find Apple Watch version 6 with my iPhone 8 Plus with watch battery not charged

About two years ago I took off my Apple Watch version six and I did not wear it for a month or two and I have not been able to locate its last location using my iPhone 8 plus. I have tried everything to try to identify the last location noted from my Apple Watch version 6.0 and none of this is working on my iPhone 8 Plus. I assume my Apple Watch battery has been dead for over one year and perhaps I need to go to an Apple store and see if they might be able to identify the last location of my Apple Watch version 6? I welcome any suggestions and will appreciate them. Thank you all. Ed
