chinese keyboard not working, not picking up all letters

when i use the simplified chinese pinyin keyboard it doesn't pick up all the letters, for example 不是 (** shi) was typing as b u事 and 没有 (mei you) was m 诶呦

Chinese Keyboard Input Problem I’ve noticed an issue where I’m typing and sometimes it will not use the characters I selected and just keep the pinyin within the sentence. For example: 这个diannao有问题 (It should change diannao to the characters 电脑） I am positive I have clicked on the character option I want, but still it will sometimes just give me the romanised letters. I thought it was odd when it kept happening on my ipad (typing on the touchscreen) but figured maybe I was misclicking. However today I connected my Bluetooth keyboard and noticed I was still having the same problem! Simplified Chinese: Missing Character Makes for Horrible Typo I'm having an issue where the simplified Chinese pinyin keyboard for the iPad does not have this character 女 at all. This is a major problem because this is the first character in the word "daughter" 女儿. Instead of giving this combination for daughter it gives 奴儿 which means "slave." You can see why this is not a great mistake to make. It doesn't show it as an option at all. The only time it ever shows the character is under the radical menu to pick the other character. Even using stroke number it doesn't show any characters less than 5 strokes, when 女 is only 3. The only way I've been able to type 女 at all has been by using copy/paste when googling it or using my phone to type instead.

I can't duplicate this. Does it happen in all apps -- Safari, Mail, Notes, Messages?
