should I remove a dead iphone from "Devices" on my account

My iPhone XS is dead.

I've canceled my Visible service and bought a flip phone with a new number as I wait for the new iphone to be released, hoping I might be able to use my old phone number with a new iPhone. Is there any reason to keep my iPhone XS listed in "My Devices" in my Apple account?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
