How can I access voicemail without Siri or Voice Control?

I am blind and cannot access voicemail with verbal commands. Both siri and voice control with tell me how many VMs I have but will not play them. Most every other phone has a few simple steps to access VM.

asked siri and voice control to access or open VM. both will tell me how many Vms I have but say they cannot play them. I have been told that you can call your own phone and access VM. I have tried that but it is asking for a code that I do not have. I was told I needed to contact my carrier.

Re: How can I access voicemail without Siri or Voice Control?

Apple support's online article: Check your voicemail on iPhone - Apple Support

says you can:

  1. Tap Voicemail, then tap a message.
  2. Do any of the following:
  • Play the message: Tap .
    • Messages are saved until you delete them (or until your carrier erases them, if they’re not stored in iCloud).
    • Share the message: Tap .
  • Delete the message: Tap .
  • Important: In some countries or regions, deleted messages may be permanently erased by your carrier. Your voice messages may also be deleted if you change your SIM card.

To recover a deleted message, tap Deleted Messages, tap the message, then tap Undelete.

Also: Check your messages when Visual Voicemail isn’t available

  • On your iPhone: Tap Voicemail, then follow the instructions.
  • On another phone:

Dial your own mobile number, press * or # (depending on your carrier) to bypass your greeting, then enter your voicemail password.

Would love to be able to help, yet I am no expert in this area.

If you aren't already using it, Apple provides VoiceOver to help those who can not see the screen.
