How to turn off Wi-Fi assist

In Settings > Cellular, one of the bottom-most options is Wi-Fi Assist. I can't move the slider to turn off the option. How can I disable that feature?

Have you turned off the iPhone and turned it on again. If that has not worked try reset network settings this can be done by going to Settings > General > scroll down and select Transfer and Reset iPhone select this and tap on reset network settings. important this will delete any saved wifi passwords as well as resetting mobile data settings bluetooth connects may also be forgotten
