Screen Sharing Mac 2 Mac using Photoshop/Illustrator lags considerably in Sonoma
This has made it extremely difficult for our company to work now! PLEASE HELP US APPLE!
We have just updated all of our Mac minis that my company remotes into for work to Sonoma 14.5. All three of these Macs were running Ventura 13.2 before the update and working just fine using Photoshop and Illustrator on the remote Macs. Now, when anyone connects to their updated remote Mac running Sonoma, trying to use the Move tool in Photoshop or Illustrator creates a very considerable lag, and the move itself doesn't even complete after the lag catches up. Photoshop/Illustrator are running the latest updates, but they were updated before updating the macOS on each remote Mac. Also, both Home and Remote Macs are using "Adaptive Quality" (lowest render setting) in Screen Sharing, and Standard Mode (instead of High Performance).
This seems to be an issue with the Screen Sharing app on Sonoma, receiving "clicks and drags" in Photoshop/Illustrator on the remote Mac. I have confirmed with Adobe that this is a Sonoma issue, not Adobe. The only thing that has changed here is updating to Sonoma on the remote machine. I am also running Sonoma 14.5 on my home iMac with M1 chip, but everything was working fine before updating the remote Macs to Sonoma. No other Adobe product seems affected, even intensive programs like After Effects.
This is not an ISP issue on either end -- we have other Macs on the same network with the same Adobe versions but using Ventura 13.2 and there is no lag issue.
