Why is red light blinking on the front camera of my iPhone?
I noticed that there is a red light blinking in my front camera and I can't find anything online about what it means. What does it mean?

Your security is fine. You’re seeing the TrueDepth scanner. (I can sometimes see that, as well.)
If you want the TrueDepth scanner to be active less often, turn off the attention awareness feature:

Here is a video showing the active scanning grid, as cameras can often see a wider spectrum than can (most) human eyes:

Human eyes can see IR under some conditions, though we’re not as sensitive to it:

Blinking Red Light on iPhone Camera:
You have unique vision in your eyes. What you are likely seeing is the Infrared Sensor in the True Depth Camera, which is something only a very few people can see with the naked eye. The IR Sensor in the True Depth Camera helps to record your face in 3D for Face ID. It's nothing to be concerned about as ALL iPhones with a True Depth Camera has this, but as already mentioned, most cannot see the IR Sensor in action.

Hello lotte261,
This happened to me once before and I can ensure you that there is nothing to be concerned about. What you could possibly be seeing is the Infrared Sensor inside of the True Depth Camera. Usually, this cannot be seen with the naked eye, but if you see the red blinking light then just know that it is not anything that you should be concerned about as it is a completely normal function of every iPhone.
I hoped this helped, otherwise, please ask if you have other questions!

No one is watching you through your camera.

Sure, but most people cannot see IR light. My husband has his cataracts removed and lenses installed and he can't see IR.
