You could probably turn it off, wait a while, then turn it back on again with a new account recovery method.
Note that if you turn this feature on and you forget your account recovery methods, you will lose all of your data in iCloud. ("With Advanced Data Protection enabled, Apple doesn't have the encryption keys needed to help you recover your end-to-end encrypted data.")
