How to stop Google asking for sign in on any webpage I visit on any Apple computer or on any mobile device ever made.

Why does google try to get me to sign in to every single webpage I visit on any device? How can we make it stop? I have looked and all previous answers do not apply to any version of the OSX or IOS I am running.

Are you sure you are using Safari?

Unless the page is using Google's sing in, like its onw google.com or other pages tat use google, it will not ask to sign in with google.

The https://discussions.apple.com website should not be asking you to sign in with Google or to Google.

How did you sign in here to post this message?

Please don't be hyperbolic. If specific pages ask you to sign using Google in then its not all. If every single page you visits asks you to sign in, then something else is going on.

If every single page asks you to sign in to Google, then its possible you are using Google's Chrome web browser.

Chrome will ask you to sign in always to have a profile for you as long as you are not signed in.

Are you sure its the websites, and not the web browser that is asking you to sign in?

What exactly happens?

How is it asking you to sign in to Google?

Please be as clear and detailed as possible.

Post a screen shot if possible.

Yes, but you can always download a different browser. Just because it comes with the Mac doe snot mean that is what you may be using. I have no way of knowing if you downloaded a different browser or not.

How did I sign in? By physically typing my ID and password in to the fields Apple provided; after dismissing the dreaded gobble poop up.

Which means you were not asked to login with Google here. That means not "every" website is asking you to log in with google which in turn means, whatever websites are asking you, use Google's own login mechanism.

Which is then perfectly normal, and nothing to do but stop visiting those websites.

A silly pop up displays on the screen and wants me to sign in to a non-existent gobble account when visiting any web site that has a log in or sign in.

Clearly not any website, just websites that happen to use Google's sign in. As you were able to sign in to this website without using Google weren't you? Or even being asked to use Google.

Again you are being hyperbolic. We can't help, if you exaggerate. There will be websites that make use of the Google sign in and Google will request you sign in. Its a normal process if websites use Google to manage their logins.

As if any of that would ever help anyone, fail to see the benefit of logging into gobble so it can log one into something the actual site you want to use or just explore; seems like another way for them to turn you into a copper top revenue stream.

Possibly, but its also a way for websites to easily and quickly deploy a login process

It looks like this, link from another user, I don't use reddit or any forum based things except for recently this place, which I thought was an actual Apple support page, run and answered by Apple employees designated to solving these issues and having the answers on hand, ready to go.

As mentioned this is a user to user forum, where we volunteer our time. If you want our help, then you need to answer our questions as we are trying to understand what is happening.

In most cases you'll find people here that know much more than an Apple employee ever could and provide better and more informative answers.

Also, why would Apple employees know about having to sign in with Google? Different companies all together. So, unless they run across it before it would be difficult for them to even being to provide an answer even if its happening in Safari.

And you would still need to explain what is happening to them. And even if they have, if the websites are using Google to log in, it would be perfectly normal for that too happen and there would not be a solution.

Nothing wrong with you fine folks, just not expecting to explain an issue people are not familiar with and having to learn and diagnose for the first time.

That's usually how issues get resolved. They are explained and diagnosed to be solved. Why do you assume anybody has encountered your issue before and can offer a packaged solution? Much less Apple employees which would be hard pressed to ever be using a Google or any website that uses Google to log in

Tons of other posts about this, but none of those solutions apply as most deal with logging into a gobble account or the solution steps have been removed with OS updates. I don't have a gobble account.

Yes, it is the web site asking to log in. Safari does not have a log in, everyone who uses OSX based machines knows this or should I have never signed into Safari-it is the only browser on any of my machines-yes this happens on all machines and devices. I do not use gobble for anything, not their "search" engine, not the email service, not a single product from them. I don't even use amazon because of their relationship with gobble and its OS. Secondly, since it is a pop up, why doesn't the Safari pop up blocker work and you know- block it? Seems to work annoyingly well when trying to do useful things like print Fedex labels.

As far as living with gobble's harassment like one person suggested, no I am done with it. I should not have to take extra steps to get rid of something that should not exist. Gobble pop up must go.

Then tell the websites using Google for their login to stop using it or stop going to those websites.

May websites contract with Google to provide login services. Ones that I know of off the top of my head include apartmenttherapy.com and redfin.com. Every time you go to a website that uses Google Sign-in, you will be asked to sign into the website using your Google credentials. Short of not visiting sites that use that service, I don't know that there is a way to avoid seeing it. Dismiss the box and move on.

Try logging in to this page without using a VPN.

You appear to have been misinformed. Also posting someone else's screenshot from someone else's website will not be helpful to you. Post your own screenshot, while attempting to log into this website. If you need help with that, please write back for instructions.

While I'm at it, the screenshot you posted and the problem you described is not a pop-up window. It is a website element put there by the website developer as IdrisSeabright described or some intermediary between Safari and the website such as a VPN. Pop-up windows and the means by which Safari can block them is described in Allow or block pop-ups in Safari on Mac - Apple Support. If you seek a solution to the problem you are encountering by describing the unwanted phenomenon as a "pop-up window" you won't find one, because that's not what it is. It may be intrusive, annoying, unwanted, harassing, unbidden, etc, but it is not a pop-up window.

I don't use a VPN. If a window pops up and prevents direct access to the webpage it is a pop up. I don't care what they call it to not be a pop up. It is like saying a SBO is not a CDO but they are the same exact thing. They do the same thing. In this case prevent direct access tot he web site requiring user interaction to dismiss it. Either way, the screen shot is of the exactly issue. It does not matter who took the screen shot. That is like saying Yosemite does not exist because a person has not taken a picture of it and can only be shown pictures directly taken by the person they talking to.
