How do I restore an iTunes backup of my iPhone from an external hard disk?

I got backup of iphone in external hard disk, after ios downgrade I want to restore my backup through iTune in windows pc, I copied my backup in my pc, while opening iTune Prefrences option backup showing, but in summary option restore button is disable
