My iPhone 7 was lost and I set up the erase procedure with “Find Devices” on iCloud

My iPhone 7 was lost and I set up the erase procedure with “Find Devices” on iCloud. Two months later it was found and returned to me. How can I cancel the “erase procedure” without losing much of the data which I know was not backed up?

Unfortunately, you cannot cancel something that has already occurred. If you set up the Find My to erase the phone 2 months ago, the erase would have occurred in the next few days after that when the phone had a good Internet connection.

In the very unlikely event that the original erase command was never received, then you can log on to Find My and see a button to Cancel Erase.
