Update bricked my watch

Today’s Apple Watch update bricked my watch. How do I fix it? I tried restarting it and it didn’t work.

Found some info off site that leads me to believe it is in power reserve mode, meaning the battery was in a very low power state, which is weird because it was on charger during update this morning and was fully charged. It lasted and worked an hour after that to get me through my workout, then futzed out within an hour or two following that. I was wearing it at the time, but didn’t notice it immediately. It’s on the charger now, showing the red lightning bolt, which came on after once again and for at least the seventh time, I tried another reset (holding button and crown down. Anyway I’m hopeful it will get past this glitch and work fine after it’s charged. I’m an optimist.

It’s bricked and I don’t remember the update version from the notice this morning, so I can’t tell you what version, but this morning was the first notice I received of its availability. The watch app on my iPhone is of no use either. The watch is on but completely unreachable. I tried restarting it, resetting it, and a hardware reset but nothing worked. It just keeps flashing the Apple logo at me. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it’ll restart once the battery drains and forces it to shut down.
