Precision Mode, how to exit and permanently disable

I just updated to System OS 13.6.8 on my Mac. I turned over the attached Wacom tablet to check the device number. (to see if I needed to update the Wacom driver) and a little box, like an index card, appeared on my screen, labeled Precision Mode. The pen stopped working outside of this box, and the rest of the screen was greyed out. Here is the solution, per my phone call with Wacom:

Attach a conventional mouse to the computer.

Start the app Wacom Center. Click on the Settings icon (the gear) at the top right of this window.

In General Settings, under Troubleshooting options, click on Restart Driver.

That will get rid of the unwanted Precision Mode.

What had turned it on was that I had unknowingly pressed one of the 8 buttons on the side of the tablet. I never use these buttons, so I asked how to turn them off permanently.

In System Settings, under Wacom Tablet, select Options. In the next window, under Disable All Tablet Buttons, click on Disable All, and hit OK.
