How can I reinstall App Store on an iPad without a factory reset?

A friend's son has somehow deleted the App Store app from his iPad. Yes, it can happen. I have tried everything in a previous thread including the swipe Left trick to reinstall and the Screen Time, Content and Privacy Restrictions reset of Allow. I have refreshed the homescreen, restarted the device and without doing a factory reset I am hoping there is a way to get the app back. He has too much work that will be lost if we do a factory reset and obviously a Back up will not work as the App store is missing. PLEASE help.

Have you actually tried performing a factory reset - and restoring your iCloud or iTunes backup?

You have absolutely nothing to lose; at worst, you are no further forward and have lost nothing. On the flip-side, you may actually resolve the problem.

Otherwise, you might be well advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be delighted to offer assistance:
