Why does my iPhone show silenced notifications when they are not muted?

I’ve had multiple people tell me that my phone says I have silenced notifications when I know for a fact that I do not. My Do not disturb is off, and I don’t have any other settings that would mute conversations. Recently, I haven’t been receiving calls at all. My contacts are texting me screenshot proof that they are leaving me missed calls, but my phone app doesn’t have any missed call notifications. It’s very frustrating as I need to be able to receive phone calls for my work. I thought maybe that the lack of phone call notifications and the “notifications silenced” thing were somehow related. I’m very frustrated.

Hi

it is frustrating when you can’t get the phone calls.

You can try some troubleshooting:-

  1. check if you have any focus mode turned ON in settings which silences calls.
  2. Check if silence unknown caller in settings is turned on or off.
  3. Check if there’s any call forwarding or waiting activated in settings under phone tab.
  4. Look for call blocking and identification option under phone tab in settings and see if there’s any application blocking the calls and look for blocked contacts as well.
