iphone 14 promax - where is the semi-colon?

That will depend on what language keyboard you're using.

If you're using the English (U.S.) keyboard, you should see this:

Tap on the 123 key and you should see this:

The semi-colon is second row from the top, fourth key from the left.

Other keyboards may be different.

Hit either ABC or 123. On mine iPhone it is on the second line of the keyboard.
