Unable to install iOS 17.6 on my iPhone 11.

I have an iPhone 11 which has iOS 17.0.3. It has not been updated since then. I have been trying for almost a month to get the latest version of the iOS and still getting the error message “unable to verify update” and “ iOS 17.6 is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.” I did all the required troubleshooting steps which includes offloading apps, restarting the phone, deleting the update and downloading it again etc. and still nothing. Can someone please help? I also have no way of doing a hard reset without triggering the emergency button.

In order to hard reset your iphone you need to press and release the volume up button, then press and release the volume down button, and then hold down the right side button until the apple icon appears on the screen. Once I completed a reset I was able to download and install IOS 17.6

What happens when you try?


Can you post a screenshot of the whole screen, it could reveal why you aren't able to update.


Make sure you:

• Are using a WiFi connection (not a hotspot).

• You have an active cell signal (You need both WiFi and cellular service to perform the upgrade).

• Are not using a VPN connection.

• Have your battery charged at least 50%. Better yet, keep it plugged in during the update.

• Do not have power save mode turned on.

• Do not have a beta version installed.

• You have at least 10 gigs of storage available.
