Random Tool Tips invading my Mac UI - BUG

Since upgrading to Sonoma 14.5, the same time as the blue caps lock and other icon popups appeared, I started getting text bubbles that look like tooltips invading randomly, often blocking my work. It was driving me nuts. See the screenshot below - "Passport 2" looks like a tooltip for an external drive, invading the UI of an open app. It's not clickable, it does nothing except block the UI. They all were references to stuff hidden, but in the Finder.


I found a solution, using terminal - h/t macmostvideo on YouTube... If you have this problem, I hope this works for you as well.

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/UIKit.plist redesigned_text_cursor -dict-add Enabled -bool NO
