Muted group text notifications showing on my Apple Watch

I am getting constant notifications on my watch from muted group chats on my phone. I have watch settings to mirror my iPhone, but for some reason I’m still getting notification dings on the watch even with the convo muted on the phone.

How can I get my watch to mirror my phone per text thread?

Why are my text notifications only going to my Apple Watch? I have today got my first Iwatch a series 10 and have been setting it up but when the phone (a 15) is locked text/whats app notifications are only coming through to my watch and not the phone, how can I change this? I can’t find it in the user manual. Can I have the phone on sound and the watch vibrate? WatchOS 10.6 Update Causing Message Notification Issues After updating my Apple Watch Series 9 to WatchOS 10.6, message notifications that are silenced on my phone (iPhone 14 Pro Max) for specific group conversations are giving me notifications on my watch. I have my message notification settings set to mirror my iPhone, and I have checked that the group conversations are indeed set to "Hide Alerts" in the conversation settings, yet my watch is giving me the notification every time a message is received in the message threads. My watch only started doing this when I updated to WatchOS 10.6 on 7/29/2024, before the update I did not receive notifications on my watch for the silenced message threads.
