Notifications not working after iOS 17.6 Update

Stopped getting notifications -- all and any notifications -- about 1 week ago. No notifications. Zip.

Tried everything, soft reset phone, turn on/off phone, reset notifications (even though I had not made any changes to any notification settings for phone or apps), made sure Focus is off, and most recently updated to iOS 17.6. Still no notifications. No bubbles with number of notifications unless I open app. And, I don't even know I have received notification unless I open the app.

Anyone else? Any suggestions (other than previously mentioned)?

Need help with this, my boss had to call me three times and doesn't buy the excuse that APPLE notifications don't work anymore.

I was having the same EXACT issue tried everything, finally I decided to text apple support which finally led me to an apple support number to call. The phone call fixed the problem with screen sharing my phone so the person on the other end could see, all I had to do was delete the apps I was having issues with (gmail, outlook, instagram, facebook etc.) So the solution is easier than you think!

Thank you. That worked for me as well. I uninstalled a single app for which I wasn’t receiving notifications. Bizarrely that seemed to unblock something and i instantly got red circles with numbers of notifications appearing on other apps that I don’t think were previously there. When I reinstalled the app that wasn’t giving notifications, now it is fixed and the push notifications are now in my notifications centre. Very strange.

Hi everyone,

I've been dealing with a frustrating issue for a while now, especially since updating to iOS 17.6. I've tried various ways/steps such as adjusting settings, updating iOS and apps, and even resetting settings, but nothing has worked. The only solution that has worked for me is completely uninstalling/removing the app and then reinstalling it. This issue has affected almost all of my third-party apps. I also attempted offloading the app from settings and storage, but that didn't resolve the issue. Unfortunately, my WhatsApp isn't backed up, so I'm unsure when this issue will be resolved on its own.

If it worked I think you need to change your boss afterwards. Lol

Hello everyone, I had the same problem and tried everything to solve it. Unfortunately, nothing worked. Finally, I tried removing a single app that I'dont receive notification (For example instagram) just to see if it would help, and surprisingly, it worked. The challenge now is that I don't receive any notifications, so I have to remove and reinstall too many apps.

I deleted (not offloaded) the app from my phone, which warned me that it would delete all my data and settings. Then I reinstalled it, but I did not need to re-enter my password, and all my settings seemed to still be there. And I did once again get my notifications, so it seems to be working again. But again, that was only one app, not all apps.

I am having the same problem as well with not receiving notifications. I have reset the Network Settings, tried deleting an App an re-installing, turning off all Focus Modes, turning off all Notifications and back and on and I have even went into some of the apps like banking for example and disabled notifications and then turned them back on and nothing has worked.

I then Erased all settings and content and I did restore from a back up. However, like someone already mentioned I'm still having the same issue so I feel doing this just put the issue back on my phone since I restored from a back up.

The only thing left to do that I can see is to erase all settings and content but set up as a brand new phone which I really don't want to do at the moment but it is beyond frustrating that notifications for all these different apps has stopped working.

Have the same issue, after the update to 17.6

Tried everything with support, they recommend now to reset the phone entirely.

It´s just super strange from one minute to the other, following issues with Wi-Fi connection and sudden disconnection of iMessage and faceTime. this literally took me ages to fix with hundreds of re-boots.

Funny enough I get some notifications like SMS, calendar, even third party like toDO from Microsoft sends me notifications. The network is actually fine so once I open the application for example whats app I receive the message. So traffic is getting through just the phone doesn´t trigger the notification. Makes it even more frustrating if you wait for the push notification of your bank to approve a purchase. Hope they´ll fix it.

Hi! I am having the same problem. The Apple Support tried many solution but nothing worked.

I am receiving notifications from some apps, like news. But from others importants like Whatsapp and banks only rarely or never.

I perceived this problem before the iOS 17.6 update.

Now I am with 17.6.1 and the problem continues.

We wait that Apple resolve it quickly because it's causing many problems.

Got the same issues since today. Especially the messenger apps (WA, Line, Facebook, IG) doesn't give me any notifications anymore. No DND, no focus at all, notifications are enabled, also for the apps. I was on some iOS 17 version, and already updated it to the latest iOS 17 version. I've done all the usual solutions (except calling the Apple Support), but nothing worked so far. Did anyone find a solution?
