MacBook M1 Air 2020 Keyboard Issue while typing

Hi everyone, I need your help!

I’m reaching out for some assistance with a problem I’m having with my MacBook M1 Air 2020. Here’s the situation:

🔹 Issue: My MacBook’s ‘dot’ key is outputting "-." instead of just a period. I’ve already tried resetting the MacBook and reinstalling the OS from Recovery Mode, but the issue remains. Similar issues with some other keys as well.

🔹 Warranty: My MacBook is still under warranty until March 11, 2025. However, I’ve discovered that there are no official Apple Stores or Authorized Service Providers in Pakistan.

🔹 Current Plan: I’m currently in Pakistan and looking for the best way to claim my warranty. I would prefer to get this resolved locally if possible.

🔹 Specific Questions:

Does anyone know if Apple offers warranty services or authorized repair centers in Pakistan?

If not, what are my options for getting the warranty claim processed from Pakistan?

Has anyone faced a similar issue and successfully resolved it, possibly through alternative means?

Your help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You can locate Apple Authorized Service Providers using this Apple article:

Find Locations - Apple

If your laptop was purchased in another region, then getting a keyboard replaced may not be easy or possible since some keyboards are not available in certain regions. Best case scenario is it may take a while to get the part. All other parts should be region independent.
