Paytm app says new guidelines of UPI require minimum ios 17 to make payments. However I can’t find any concrete information about it on internet. Has anyone faced similar issue? Can we still do UPI payments from ios 15?

If you want to make UPI payments, you must update your iPhone to iOS 17 (if you can) - or get a newer iPhone that can run iOS 17.
I read somewhere that NCPI requested a new security-related feature; that Apple put it into iOS 17; and that NCPI then made a rule that UPI payment apps had to require iOS 17.
No you can use !! If your WhatsApp is linked with your bank account through that you can make still UPI transactions .
UPI has basically abandoned you. The programmers at UPI have redesigned their apps with a requirement to run on iOS 17.
That means that any older phones will not longer be able to use UPI apps. You can thank UPI for this.
The only solution for you is buy a new phone that is capable of running iOS 17.
