I'd like to completely disable animation for switching workspaces

The animation makes me dizzy so I want to disable it.

I want only to disable this specific animation for this specific feature.

I don't want to use "Reduce Motion" option. It just replaces one problem with another in this case.

In the past, I was able to achieve what I need by changing the

com.apple.dock expose-animation-duration

parameter using terminal, but this doesn't seem to be working anymore.

What are my options?

• I'll try to phrase it differently:

I press CTRL+Arraw UP (Expose)
• I add another desktop on top
• I use CTRL+Arrow Right to navigate to that desktop
• While the desktop is being switched, I observe the whole desktop slide to the left and the new desktop sliding from the right. That's the animation I want to get rid off.

I don't use Control and arrows...

With a trackpad swipe up with four fingers and click the Desktop you want— no side to side sliding.

Open application windows within an app swipe down four fingers for exposé

Settings>Trackpad for options

I try to keep in simple, I have a note here; not sure if it is relevant to your situation —

Make sure that an app is not assigned to one particular desktop:

click and hold the Dock icon and from Options->Assign To> None

That's not exactly what I mean.

4-fingers swipe up is the same us Control+ArrowUp.

Swiping and clicking means I do have to perform 2 separate actions instead of one (swipe right or Control+ArrowRight), with is counter-productive.

I don't need to change how Mission Control/Expose work in general, I just want to disable the animation, which was possible in the past.
