apps taken off of "always allowed" screentime keep reappearing
I am trying to lock down my teens' social media usage, and IG is somehow on the 'always allowed' list, and whenever I take it off...it reappears? Help?
iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18

Re: "apps taken off of "always allowed" screentime keep reappearing"
Wondering if you are using "Family Sharing" or not, and whether you have have set up a password that must be used before anyone can change the ScreenTime settings ?
If so, you might want to reset the password:
Eg: See: If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support
See Apple's : Family Sharing overview for kids and teens - Apple Support
says:
"Tap Screen Time to see the parental controls that your parent or guardian has set. To make any changes, you might have to ask your parent or guardian to enter their Screen Time passcode."
More info. on how to:
Set up parental controls with Family Sharing on iPhone - Apple Support
or
Set up Screen Time for a family member on iPhone - Apple Support
All the best :-)
Thanks brbo! I do have family sharing, and I have set up a password. In the 'always allowed' section in settings, i click on the red circle beside an app, and then click 'remove' (after inputting password), and then i click back out to the 'family', and when I go back into the 'always allowed' section...the apps are back! Making my brain hurt.
You may need to check the Privacy Restrictions .
Check Settings > ScreenTime > Content and Privacy Restrictions >
See if Privacy Restrictions is turned on, or off.
If not on, you can turn it on (without a passcode).
(NB: You can not turn it off without a passcode.)
Then you can also check "Content Restrictions" and see what websites you've allowed there, and check all other customisations are as you want them to be.
