Is there any workaround available to keep notes in Contacts from being edited when NOT in edit mode? I know others are super frustrated like me when important info is accidentally erased. There isn’t even an option to undo, is there? I make extensive notes on my contact cards, especially for doctor appointments. Is there any way to lock the notes section? I’m using iOS 17.6 on iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple, please help!

Contact notes appear to be intentionally designed to be easily edited without entering the "Edit" mode for the entire contact. Apple doesn't read her ein this user-to-user forum for feedback but you can let them know you'd like to see something different here:
The iPhone does have an undo fuction. Go to Settings>Accessiblity>Touch>Shake to Undo and enable it.
Honestly, given the glitches that have been reported with Contact notes in the last few years, I wouldn't rely on it for information that is in any way critical. Use Notes or some other app.
