Ink appears delayed on the Notes app after a few minutes of usage

I use Apple Pencil Pro on iPad Air (M2) to take notes. As time goes by, the impressions on the screen appear almost a second later, after I've drawn a stroke. There is a marked delay between my pencil stroke and the actual image/imprint on the screen. When I power-cycle the device, this issue goes away, but returns right after a while. The device heats up as well. Have you experienced this lately?
