I know how to set up my iMac so as to not have a password during startup; same for after Sleep or Screensaver.
What I don't know how to do, is to NOT require a password after Apple > Log Out.
Is it possible to turn off the password requirement after a Log Out? I'm running Mojave, but any suggestions re other OSXs most welcome.

I don't think there is away to do that, would negate the safety & usability of logging out so another user could login.

I don't fully understand the logic though, of allowing the user to require no password at startup, but requiring one after logging out. But I suppose there are good reasons for that.
It's not really requiring no password at startup, though - it's automatically logging in to that account on startup as a convenience mechanism (which also happens to be really bad security).
