Can my iPhone be compromised by stranger using Hotspot sharing?

I had shared the hotspot from my iphone device with a stranger on 1st Aug and since then i feel my device has been hacked. reason being i got a pop up to enable Facetime and imessages although i have been using it to speak with friends and family. Also i had added my card details for purchases which is now deleted and is asking me to add again. i had also recently updated my Iphone to 17.6 after the incident.
