Remove Unwanted Fonts

There are many fonts that show up in the drop down that I do not want and it makes choosing fonts tedious. Someone else had posted about this awhile ago but it seems to be closed due to inactivity ( Can't Disable Some System Fonts - Apple Community )

The "answer" is not totally accurate though because these fonts show up in the dropdown for other apps as well, such as MS Word (see pic below). So this doesn't seem to be just an "Adobe seems incapable of spending the 10 minutes required to implement that interface" issue.

If anyone is able to provide a way to get these fonts to not show without using 3rd party app, I'd be most appreciative.
