My air drop does not work between my iphone 13 + my new Macbook air/Sonoma 14.5. It will work occasionally, but usually I wait for 5+ minutes and then get "air drop failed."
I've turned off "Bringing Devices Together" in Settings (Settings> General> Air Drop> "start sharing by bringing devices together.")
It's still failing about 99% of the time. Apple - please help!

Bluetooth and Wifi have to be working.
@AlWeir - both are, both are on, and it still isn't working, hence my post. I know how to use air drop - it always worked well until I got my new MacBook Air.
Everything is on. Occasionally a photo via Air Drop will work, but whenever I try to share anything else, such as a url on Safari, it just says "waiting" for 5+ minutes and then it fails.
They are. Both are on on both devices and it never works. I just get "waiting" for 10+ minutes.
