iPhone 8 keeps turning off and turning on

My son’s iPhone 8 all of a sudden is powering off and and then when I try to turn it back on it powers up the Apple logo shows the screen comes up for me to put in my passcode and before I can even touch it it goes off and it just keeps doing the same exact thing powering up straight off what do I do?

Your battery is most likely at the end of its life.

Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.

You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone. This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.

Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.
