can i speak to someone?

You are speaking to other users.....just like you..

But no one here would be able to provide you with any more information than can already be found in this Apple Support document:

If your iPhone or iPad is lost or stolen - Apple Support

If you want to speak to Apple, you can do so by starting here:

Support

But, you need to be realistic about things. If your wife left the phone in a shop or restaurant, you need to visit those locations to see if anyone turned the phone in to the manager.

If the phone was stolen......which is unfortunately likely.....it is gone.

This is a user-to-user forum. Apple largely is not here, except to moderate it.

In addition, as others have pointed out, Apple does not get involved with lost or stolen devices. If your wife marks the device as Lost, she may subsequently get messages from "Apple Security" claiming that they want to reunite her with her lost phone. These are not from Apple, but from a thief, fence, or dishonest finder whose goals are to get into the phone and/or bypass Activation Lock (so they can "make your wife's phone their own.")

Ignore all such messages - do not click on any links, call any phone numbers, or enter any information requested.
