Final Cut transition

Hi all,

I have a transparent image on top of a video of a book opening. I want to use the flip transition on the transparent image in time with the book opening to make it look like the image is attached to the book but when I add the transition, it gives the image a solid colour. Is there any way to change this?

TIA

What are you transitioning into?

This might be possible but it is not evident. If you just put the transition at the end of the image and “transition to nothing” it’s not going to work.

As LocaAlicia said, a screenshot (or even a short screen capture) would help us better understand.

The Flip transition, as it comes with FCP, includes a background item. It may be necessary to open a copy in Motion and disable or remove that in order to achieve what you’re after.
