iPad screen too dark, can’t see anything

I was going through my settings to reduce battery consumption. Was in the display/brightness setting, tried dark mode, then touched the brightness button. The screen is now so dark I can’t see my apps etc. was able to power off, but when powered on, can’t see anything. I’m running iOS 16.7. Can’t see anything to correct it. Luckily, I’m using a second iPad Please help. Thanks

I’m replying to my question. All is resolved. I had to go into a dark closet to see the settings, was able to turn brightness on.
