How to determine scope of water damage on 13.6 inch MacBook Air 2022

I spilled some water on my MacBook Air and I was wondering what are some ways to fix it. I have powered it off and I put it on a counter sideways to dry, but I’m not sure if that is the best method. Please help!

The computer needs to be examined by an authorized service center to evaluate the damage. Liquid damage is often extensive and ongoing due to corrosion.
